If something is high, it means that it is tall.

If something is high, it can also mean that it is far above the ground.

We can use high to talk about how tall something is.

  • The building is 150 meters high.

We can also use high to say that there is more of something than usual. For example, if a shop’s prices are high, it means that the things in the shop are expensive.
